Impact of the CAPSIS software:
The web platform CAPSIS, gathering worldwide existing models, decision-support tools and scientific knowledge regarding forest dynamics was developed by INRA in 1994. The open-source license enabled wide diffusion and increase of knowledge stock and further improved forest management.
