Subfamily: Aphidinae

Palaearctic genus with medium-sized individuals.

On their primary host (Pyrus) colonies generate characteristic galls by rolling up the leaves.

In summer the alates move towards the secondary hosts (Apiaceae and Asteraceae). Colonies settle near to or under the ground. Ants come to visit them.
