Morphological characters

2.0-2.8 mm.
Apterous: covered with whitish wax, cornicles and cauda black.
Alate: dark green to blackish with a patch on abdomen variably diffuse, antennae same length as body, cornicles black à base strongly broadened, cauda black and elongate.

Life cycles

Monoecious holocyclic.

Host plants   

Vicia spp: cultivated vetches, beans (broad bean, faba bean) or wild species.

Particularités

Cette espèce est visitée par les fourmis.

Agronomic impact

A. craccae is not common.
It is the vector of the cucumber mosaic virus (CMV).
