Morphological characters

Alate: dark green or brown, antennae short, cornicles short and pigmented, cauda short.

Life cycles

Monoecious holocyclic.

Host plants   

Daucus spp. (wild carrot, cultivated carrot).

Particular characteristics

The species A. lambersi is visited by ants.
Colonies live at the base of stems, on collet of plants and lower leaves of wild carrots, and also on cultivated carrots (see photo).
