This genus is characterized by alates which have a pigmented spot on the forewing membrane.

Genus closely related to Lachnus but smaller in size. Four species are recorded, but just one is present in France.

The species is characterized by the presence of a dark spot on the forewing. Individuals carry numerous hairs situated on small dark sclerites.

Colonies are visited by ant
