Hyperparasitoids

The hyperparasitoids of aphids

The hyperparasitoids are Hymenoptera.

The hyperparasitoids (secondary parasitoids) are Hymenoptera (Hymenoptera, suborder Parasitica) which live to the detriment of primary parasites (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae and Braconidae Aphidiinae) themselves living in the aphids.

They are spread over three superfamilies and five families:

The files describe the different genera and species dependent on aphids. They give information concerning:

  • morphology
  • hosts (primary parasites)
  • particular characteristics related to the species
