Morphology

The eyed ladybird is a large ladybird which can reach 10 mm long.
Its head is black with two white spots. The pronotum is also black but doted with two small white spots and a broad one roughly cut out as a U. Its darkish red  elytra  sport variably sized black eyespots with orange aureoles. The antennae and legs are small and orangey brown.

Habitat

This ladybird lives essentially on conifers but also appears to be polyphagous.
