The Saltusaphidinae have an elongate body.
Their frons is convex and antennae shorter than the body. The secondary rhinaria are round and occur only on segment III.
The cornicles are short and cylindrical, pore-like.
The cauda is button-shaped and anal plate bilobed.
Monoecious species living on grasses (Poaceae), Cyperaceae and Juncaceae.
