Evolutionary and functional impact of EPIgenetic variation in forest TREEs

Epitree is an ANR Project starting on January 1, 2018 and ending on December 31, 2021.
The project aims to study the impact of epigenetics (DNA methylation), gene expression and allelic variation in tree adaptation mechanisms to the local environment and their phenotypic plasticity. Two species will be analyzed: oak and poplar.

It is part of the themes of the impact of climate change on ecosystems, particularly forests and trees. It will test the value of providing epigenomic data to trees in both basic research and forest genetic resource management and improvement.
