The protocol consists in a visual and non-destructive method to describe the populations of cereal aphids (Sitobion avenae, Rhopalosiphum padi, Metopolophium dirhodum and Rhopalosiphum maidis) on wheat to evaluate resistance of wheat varieties.
The protocol consists in a counting method by capture of aphids (mainly Rhopalosiphum padi, Metopolophium dihrodum and Sitobion avenae) and aphid mummies in cereal crops. The same method is used for syrphids, natural enemies of aphids.
Arable crops offer aphids huge colonisation spaces. This book describes 35 dangerous species using essential data in the development of efficient, environmentally-friendly control methods.
