Presentation of Integrated Pest Management network

A French network of scientific animation for Integrated Pest Management

The Integrated Pest Management network was created in april 2004 by 4 INRAE research divisions : Environment and Agronomy (EA), Plant Health and environment (SPE), Science for Action and Sustainable Development (SAD) and Plant Breeding and Genetics (GAP).

Objectives :

  • Share of knowledge and information on projects in progress among different INRAE teams, mutualization of tools and experiment
  • Implementation and coordination of a field experimental site network
  • Promotion of research programs, especially those based on collaborative research
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary exchanges between economists, sociologists, agronomists, epidemiologists, weeds specialists and entomologists

Four major themes :

  • Area 1 : modeling and decision support system for IPM ►►►
  • Area 2 : implementation and coordination of a field experimental site network ►►►
  • Area 3 : promotion of sociologic and economic approaches of IPM ►►►
  • Area 4 : mobilisation of ecological concepts and approaches in IPM ►►►
