Nucleation of nascent microtubules in the Arabidopsis cortical array

Ce séminaire aura lieu le vendredi 25 mai 2012 à 11h00 dans l'Amphithéâtre Rebischung - Bâtiment 10 - Centre INRA de Versailles.

Invitation: David Bouchez

The professor Takashi Hashimoto is the head of the “Plant Cell Function” lab of the NAIST Graduate School of Biological Sciences in the NARA Institute of Science and Technology in Japan (http://bsw3.naist.jp/eng/courses/courses103.html). His lab is conducting extensive research, ranging from basic to applied one, concerning the cellular function, signal transduction and regulation of gene expression in higher-plants, making effective use of molecular genetics and imaging technologies on Arabidopsis thaliana, tobacco, and tomato.

Major research topics:

1. The microtubule cytoskeleton is dynamic, and re-organizes to distinct arrays.
2. Molecular mechanisms of plant tissue patterning.
3. Biosynthesis of bio-active natural products.
