Presentation of the UMR EcoSys

The UMR Functional Ecology and Ecotoxicology of agroecosystems has recognized expertise in the analysis and modelling of the relations between crops and their environment, focusing on the questions of agriculture durability in the context of global change. EGC has a long experience on particle atmospheric transfer in relation to biological contamination (aerial fungal diseases, gene flow by air- borne pollen transfer) and on the understanding of the plant-pathogen interaction at plant and canopy scale.

Project implications
  • Development of process-based models to simulate crop-environment interactions and in experimental work both in field and in controlled conditions
  • Plant ecophysiology, fine architecture analysis, 3D modeling of wheat interactions
  • Modelling disease dispersal in wheat cultivar mixtures, in link with canopy architecture
