Master internship: impact of agro-ecological measures of wheat blends on production organization downstream agriculture

The objective is to analyze the organization of wheat production in cooperatives and trading companies, and confronting actors to the emergence of high proportion of wheat blends.

Objective:

Analyzing the organization of wheat production in cooperatives and trading companies, and confronting actors to the emergence of high proportion of wheat blends. Interview data will lead to identify scenarios of collect organization to assure the segregation of products. These scenarios can be submitted to collect and storage firm leaders (cooperative and traders) to evaluate their pertinence. The internship will focus on interviews with leaders and managers of cooperatives and/or traders.

Missions:

Mainly based on conducting interviews, the internship is organized in different steps:

  • Familiarization with different methods of interview
  • Elaboration of a questionnaire and determination of a sample with different partners (engineers, Chambres d’Agriculture, cooperatives)
  • Conduction and analyze of interviews
  • Interpretation of results to determine standard strategies

Duration: 6 months, from March to September 2015

Location: UMR SAD-APT- Grignon, and travels in production basins (mainly in Region Centre and Midi-Pyrénées)

The student will benefit of resources on the internship location (office, computer, documentation). A driving license is required and a personal car is preferred (reimbursement of travel expenses)
