Master internship: potential impact of wheat blends development on seed market

The objective is to study the impact of different scenarios of wheat blends introduction on actors implied in the wheat supply chain, especially on seed market and on competition and vertical relationships between actors.

Objective:

Studying the impact of different scenarios of wheat blends introduction on actors implied in the wheat supply chain, especially on seed market and on competition and vertical relationships between actors. How can wheat blends fit seed regulation requirements? How seed regulations can evolve to enable wheat blends dissemination? What are the opportunities and constraints of wheat blends for actors implied in seed markets? The internship will mainly consist in interviews with key actors of the wheat supply chain (seeds, cooperatives, inter-branch organization…). The student will participate in questionnaires conception, organization of the interviews, interviews conduction, analysis and interpretation of results.

Profile required:

Student engineer in agronomy or with good knowledge in agricultural sector. Minimal skills in economy and experience in conducting interviews are required.

Duration: 6 months, from March to September 2015
